Weaponized Narrative
What is Weaponized Narrative?
The Weaponized Narrative Program (WNP) is part of Arizona State University’s Future Security Initiative, an interdisciplinary hub engaging pressing global security challenges. The WNP assembles a network of scholars and policy makers from a variety of backgrounds to conduct research and support publications of white papers, books and articles.
The WNP engages ASU and other faculty, students and members of the public on the risks associated with weaponized narratives and how to combat their influence. The WNP also works with the military, law enforcement, and civil society groups to develop innovative ways to identity and respond to weaponized narratives in their distinct contexts.
The WNP is Directed by Ajit Maan, ASU Professor of Practice in the Future Security Initiative. The WNP is an expansion of an earlier project, the Weaponize Narrative Initiative, building on prior research through new course work, projects, and outreach.
