Two-day interdisciplinary conference at ASU in January 2019 with anthropologists, historians, political scientists, sociologists, and others addressing social, political, legal, and other issues related to the status of Kosovo. The event was co-sponsored by the Center, the Melikian Center: Russian, Eurasian and East European Studies, and the School of Politics and Global Studies and supported by the Kopf Conference Fund.

The conference served as the public launch of the Future of War project, bringing together leading experts, scholars and policy makers to discuss developments in the fields of international and national security. There were over 400 attendees and over 9,000 people watched the event via the live-stream. The conference was co-sponsored by CNN.

The Future of War Conference brings together a collection of experts to address key issues and challenges arising from the changing nature of conflict and war. The conference is part of an initiative linking New America, a nonpartisan research public policy institute and civic enterprise, and Arizona State University, one of the nation’s largest public research universities. It will be held on March 10 at the Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C.

The Future of War Conference 2017 was held in Washington, DC on March 21, 2017. The event links ASU and New America and has been co-sponsored by CNN. It features major thought leaders on various issues of domestic and global security including emerging technologies, current conflicts, refugees, cyberwar, international law, civilian-military relations and how to improve links between academic research and public policy.
